Library Page Position at The New York Public Library

We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Library Page. This role offers valuable insights into working within a library system and the opportunity to kickstart your career in this field.

As a Library Page, you will have access to the Library Page Fellowship Program, a career development initiative aimed at guiding you towards success. This program provides valuable resources, coaching, and mentorship to help you refine your career goals and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to patrons
  • Organize and maintain library materials
  • Assist patrons with various inquiries and technology usage
  • Prepare materials for patrons and events
  • Collaborate with team members on various tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited degree program
  • Employment certificate as required by NYS law
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Team player with problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and technology proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with troubleshooting computer and printer issues
  • Familiarity with eReaders and library technologies
  • Knowledge of foreign languages
