Position Details: The Library Page position is scheduled for 17 hours weekly, including evenings and weekends. Work schedules may vary based on the library's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by maintaining a positive and courteous attitude towards patrons.
  • Organize and shelve books, audiovisual materials, and other library resources in a systematic manner.
  • Assist patrons with inquiries, guiding them to locate materials and referring them to appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Support patrons with basic technology usage, including computers and audio/visual equipment.
  • Prepare library materials requested by patrons for checkout.
  • Help staff with the inspection of materials for damage and manage the organization of shelves.
  • Assist in setting up public areas for events and programs.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid employment certificate for minors under 18, as mandated by state law.
  • Ability to accurately sort and arrange items in an alphanumeric order.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to follow detailed instructions in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and experience working with a diverse group of patrons.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Reliability and professionalism in all tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience troubleshooting basic computer and printer issues.
  • Familiarity with eReaders and library technologies.
  • Ability to communicate in foreign languages.
