As a Library Page, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Library Page Fellowship Program, which supports youth in developing their career skills. This program offers resources for career readiness, goal exploration, and provides mentorship and training.
Position Details: The Library Page position is part-time, requiring 14 hours of work per week, including evenings and weekends. Schedules may vary based on library needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a positive and courteous attitude.
- Organize and shelve books, audiovisual materials, and other library resources in an orderly manner.
- Assist patrons with inquiries, guiding them to the appropriate resources or personnel.
- Support patrons with basic technology and equipment usage.
- Prepare library materials requested by patrons.
- Assist staff in checking materials for damage and managing inventory.
- Help set up spaces for library events and programs.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Required Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program.
- Possession of a valid employment certificate for minors under 18, as mandated by state law.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to accurately sort and arrange items in alphanumeric order.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to follow detailed instructions in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent customer service abilities, with a focus on working with a diverse audience.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Demonstrated reliability and professionalism.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting basic computer and printer issues.
- Familiarity with eReaders and library technologies.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.

Physical Requirements- Moderate lifting is required (up to 25 lbs).

Pre-Placement Physical: Not required.
