Position Overview:

The Strategic Solutions Manager plays a pivotal role in collaborating across various departments and engaging stakeholders to deliver:

  • Solution Vision: This includes defining:

- The core challenges we aim to address
- The comprehensive user/customer journey or lifecycle
- User personas, their competencies, and requirements
- A high-level framework of a solution that meets these needs

Key Competencies:

· Proficient understanding of Agile methodologies

· Proven experience in financial services or asset management, particularly with financial advisors

Core Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technology and business partners, demonstrating strong discussion, debate, and listening skills while exploring beyond the obvious to grasp impacts.
  • Design engaging workshops and user sessions by selecting appropriate participants and clarifying outcomes and methodologies (interviews, online collaboration, surveys, card sorting, etc.).
  • Empathetically understand and articulate user requirements.
  • Analyze data collected from user/stakeholder interactions and apply design thinking to identify goals, business needs, problem statements, opportunities, workflows, user journeys, personas, and a high-level solution framework.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to clarify solution intent, capability roadmap, and milestones.
  • Understand and articulate dependencies that will affect the sequencing of development tasks.
  • Work alongside business and operations stakeholders to outline the target operating model as systems evolve.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively through polished communication and consistent follow-through.
  • Produce clear written documentation throughout the solution inception, vision, and intent phases.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Experience Required:

· At least 15 years of experience in Finance, Asset Management, Strategy, Business Analysis, or Systems Analysis

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· Proven track record of leading and directing teams to achieve measurable outcomes.

· Demonstrated ability to articulate tailored solutions that meet business needs.

· Advanced experience with Scaled Agile, Agile, Lean, and Kanban software development processes.

· Proficient in using various tools for documenting workflows and data mapping, including but not limited to Excel, SQL, and Visio.

· Understanding of analysis and artifact objectives throughout the solution lifecycle.

· Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.

· Strong capability to independently manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects.

· Extensive experience with SQL, Excel, Visio, Balsamiq, Jira, Tableau, and Confluence.

· Solid background in the financial industry.

Essential Skills:

· Understanding of Agile methodologies

· Experience in financial services/asset management, particularly with financial advisors

· Proficiency in data visualization

· Experience in client research

· Ability to work cross-functionally within a large organization

· Experience collaborating with senior UX designers to finalize digital product designs.

Educational Requirements:

Master's degree is mandatory.
