Role Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in our ongoing expansion. You will identify, cultivate, and oversee new business opportunities from initial contact to closing, steering the action plan, communication strategy, and coordinating necessary resources and materials for all presentations and meetings. This role transcends traditional sales functions; it demands a solutions-oriented mindset, a genuine curiosity about potential clients' business challenges, and the capability to translate those insights into actionable opportunity briefs and strategies for success.

Key Duties Include:
  • Identifying and managing leads from discovery to closure, employing tools and methodologies to qualify, assess, and recommend the best sales and communication strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of leads, while developing and executing a contact strategy at all relevant levels within target organizations.
  • Collaborating with Growth Leaders to evaluate the level of effort required for prospects based on their potential and managing decisions accordingly.
  • Working alongside Account, Operations, Strategy, Technology, and People teams to assemble response and pitch teams, preparing subject-matter experts for successful deliverables.
  • Coordinating all activities related to meetings and presentations, ensuring seamless execution on both agency and client sides.
  • Utilizing your exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills to organize and convey information effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing pipeline reports with accurate forecasts and leading status meetings for senior leadership, providing a clear and actionable view into the new business pipeline.
  • Attending events and conferences, both virtually and in-person, to network with prospective clients and convert introductions into active business opportunities.
  • Overseeing the transition of new business wins to the Implementation Team, remaining actively involved to ensure a smooth shift from prospect to client.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in sales or growth, preferably within the advertising or marketing sectors.
  • Proficient in networking at both large and small industry events.
  • Excellent communication skills across written, presentation, and interpersonal formats.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and other relevant software applications.
  • Adept at researching categories and clients, synthesizing insights for strategic pursuits.
  • Demonstrates a professional and solution-oriented approach to client interactions.
  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising activities, including digital media, e-commerce, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in developing effective sales and pitch strategies for diverse decision-makers.
  • Background in managing sales operations, including pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Ability to influence executive-level clients and internal stakeholders with a focus on win-win outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong skills in PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce and other relevant tools.
