RESIDENT SERVICES OVERVIEW
The Resident Services team is essential in delivering vital support services to our residents.

Our three focus areas – Family Services, Senior Services, and Health and Supportive Housing – foster relationships with residents by engaging, connecting, and providing services that help them maintain stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency.

Our programs emphasize long-term financial and physical health, mobility, and include financial workshops, ESL classes, senior wellness activities, after-school programs, and a summer program for young residents.

The Services team also plays a crucial role in ensuring food security through onsite food distributions in collaboration with local organizations.

Guided by our ICARE values (Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) and our principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Resident Services collaborates closely with residents, community partners, and fellow team members, including our Property Management team.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering and facilitating educational, health, and wellness programs for residents of MidPen properties.

This position is responsible for providing access to and implementing programs such as:

  • After School Programs
  • Summer Programs
  • Academic Support and College Readiness
  • ELL and ESL Programs
  • Health and Education Workshops
  • Food Security Initiatives
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Financial Stability Training
  • Rental Assistance and Lease Education

The Coordinator also leads outreach efforts and organizes community events to build trust and engagement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver onsite programs and ensure their implementation meets internal standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct outreach through various channels to inform residents about available services.
  • Prepare and submit necessary program documentation as required.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Manage partnerships and collaborate with local community agencies.
  • Support property-level needs assessments and respond to resident feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting.
  • Participate in team meetings and cultivate collaborative relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience in community development or social services; progress towards a 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including families, youth, and older adults.
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate language barriers.
  • Proficiency in technology tools to support interactions.
  • A valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
