ABOUT RESIDENT SERVICES
The Resident Services team is pivotal in delivering essential support services to our residents.

Our three focus areas – Family Services, Senior Services, and Health and Supportive Housing – foster relationships with residents by engaging, connecting, and providing services that help them maintain stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency.

Our programming prioritizes long-term financial and physical health and mobility, offering financial workshops, ESL classes, senior wellness activities, after-school programs, and a summer program for young residents.

The Services team also plays a crucial role in ensuring food security through onsite food distributions in collaboration with local organizations.

Rooted in our ICARE values (Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) and our guiding principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Resident Services collaborates closely with residents, community partners, and fellow MidPenners, including our Property Management team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Services Coordinator I is essential in delivering and engaging partners to provide educational, health and wellness, and asset-building programs for residents of MidPen properties.

This role includes access to and delivery of programs such as:

  • After School Program

  • Health and Education Workshops
  • Food Security Programs
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Financial Stability and Capability Training
  • Rental Assistance
  • Lease Education

This position also leads outreach efforts and organizes community events to build trust and engagement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Deliver onsite programs and ensure their implementation at assigned locations to meet internal standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct outreach through door-to-door visits, phone calls, and emails to inform residents about available services.
  • Prepare and submit necessary program documentation as required by MidPen and external agencies.
  • Assist in crisis intervention for low to moderate complexity situations and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Engage with property-level partners to support service goals and communicate improvements to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with local community agencies to enhance service provision.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring timely reporting consistent with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to foster effective teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience in community development, social services, or a related field; progress toward a 2-year or 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including families, adults, and youth.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate language barriers.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools to support interactions.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
