Position Summary

This role is situated at a key military installation in California, where remote work is not an option. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight to a team responsible for maintaining Telemetry Instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide technicians in the upkeep of Launch Test Range Systems (LTRS) for Telemetry Instrumentation.
  • Coordinate daily operations with personnel, management, and government representatives to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist team members in resolving issues, interpreting company policies, and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Maintain mission-critical equipment according to established manuals and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of operational spares and supplies to support ongoing tasks.
  • Oversee training programs to ensure qualified personnel are available for operations.
  • Supervise the setup and operation of mission equipment in accordance with documentation.
  • Monitor system performance during operations to ensure accurate status reporting.
  • Facilitate quick resolution of any anomalies during launch operations.
  • Prepare and present system status reports as necessary.
  • Interface with various stakeholders to ensure seamless communication regarding operational requirements.
  • Enforce discipline in line with company policies and agreements.
  • Manage on-site projects as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in telemetry and instrumentation.
  • Supervisory experience of three years or more is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operational subsystems related to launch and landing operations is advantageous.
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel as needed (less than 10%).
  • Ability to work second shift and flexible hours as required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
