This position requires on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational, administrative, and maintenance support for various communication systems, including IP networks, voice systems, and data switching.
- Administer and manage diverse computer systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide tier-two support to fellow team members within the communications division.
- Document procedures and generate reports to enhance existing processes or summarize data from testing activities.
- Engage in meetings led by government or contractor representatives.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Meticulous organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in telecommunications or networking.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, software emulation, and scripting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred experience with fiber optics, multiplexing, and voice systems.
- Knowledge of communications transport systems is advantageous.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain CompTIA's Security+ certification within six months of hire.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as needed.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
