Join Our Team as a Risk Analyst in Advertising Policy

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Risk Analyst to become a vital part of our Advertising Trust Policy operations team. In this position, you will take ownership of ensuring that our policy operational workflows are effectively managed and executed. You will collaborate with various Amazon Ads stakeholders to evaluate requests for changes to advertising policies, enhance communication with advertisers, and guarantee that content remains current while keeping stakeholders informed of policy updates.

Your role will involve independently translating complex policy language into clear responses tailored to the audience and context, while proactively identifying solutions to policy-related challenges. You will gain an in-depth understanding of Amazon Advertising policies, working closely with policy authors to provide guidance to partner teams and share insights with Policy Managers based on the high volume of requests you handle.

Additionally, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of our ad moderation processes, collaborating with moderation teams to ensure we make informed decisions that protect customer experiences and enable advertisers to run effective campaigns. You will also engage in initiatives aimed at operational improvements, consistently monitoring data and proposing innovative ideas to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and oversee policy operations standard operating procedures (SOPs) and queues related to essential business functions, including communications and change requests.
  • Investigate and respond to a high volume of Ad Policy inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Acquire knowledge of our Ad Policies to provide accurate guidance to partner teams.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the escalation of complex and sensitive requests to Policy Managers, collaborating to reach resolutions.
  • Identify trends and themes from the high volume of requests, communicating these insights to Policy Managers for ongoing policy enhancement and working with operations leads to achieve efficiencies.
  • Evaluate opportunities and potential risks to business operations, including managing operational roadmaps, analyzing data and workflows to identify gaps, driving sustainable efficiencies, and facilitating change communications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with internal team members to resolve queries or requests.
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant fields such as Policy, Trust & Safety, or Escalations Management.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with experience in analyzing large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on an escalations or on-call team with a policy or operations focus.
  • Commitment to quality demonstrated through meticulous attention to detail and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment.
