Position Summary:
The Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the CIP Program within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, specifically in the Mission Assurance Office. This position is integral to enhancing Mission Assurance and complements other Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives that contribute to Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development of CIP and Mission Assurance policies and guidance.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and validating Task Critical Assets (TCAs) essential for Operation Plans (OPLANs) and Concept of Operation Plans (CONPLANs).
- Support all phases of Mission Assurance, including research and assistance for mission analysis and emergency management.
- Prepare graphical, oral, and written reports, briefs, and products related to the CIP and Mission Assurance Programs.
- Review critical asset data for accuracy and assist in the validation process.
- Advise clients on CIP and Mission Assurance matters, providing research and analysis in line with DoD policies.
- Educate clients and leadership on the significance of Mission Assurance and associated risks to critical assets.
- Ensure timely and actionable TCA information is accessible to relevant commands and stakeholders.
- Develop briefs and information papers on CIP and Mission Assurance topics.
- Participate in conferences, working groups, and meetings related to Mission Assurance.
Qualifications:
Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with DoD and knowledge of critical infrastructure programs.
- Familiarity with the DoD planning process.
- Experience in Joint/DoD exercises.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (5 years).
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Additional Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Must obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Valid Passport: Must possess a current passport with at least 8 months until expiration.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Work Environment Compliance: Commitment to a drug-free workplace, U.S. Citizenship, and a valid state driver's license.
- Strong problem-solving and writing skills.
