Position Summary:
The Credit Risk Analytics Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping our lending products. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Lending, this position is integral to our leadership team. The role encompasses strategy, analytics, and operational execution, focusing on developing and implementing cross-departmental initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to build our lending business from the ground up, requiring a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who can adapt as we achieve product-market fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee credit and fraud risk management, ensuring the economic sustainability of our lending offerings while maximizing customer lifetime value.
- Develop LTV, NPV, and P&L models for new products; establish performance KPIs and financial constraints.
- Lead the multi-year learning agenda and roadmap, along with the credit modeling infrastructure necessary to meet objectives.
- Define credit policies and pricing structures for product development, collaborating with various teams including Product Strategy, Engineering, and Compliance.
- Implement policies for customer acquisition and management, utilizing internal and external data sources for evaluation.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to secure necessary licenses and funding sources for business scalability.
- Monitor new customer performance and existing portfolio metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists responsible for end-to-end credit and fraud risk management.
- 10+ years of experience in analytics and strategy roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a top-tier firm focused on analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, particularly in unsecured products.
- Proven track record in managing teams of analysts.
- Experience in startup environments or leading 0 to 1 initiatives.
- Deep understanding of credit product dynamics and economic contributions.
- Experience in developing machine learning models for underwriting and pricing.
- Strong communication skills to articulate vision and gain organizational buy-in.
- Ability to establish rigorous decision frameworks balancing quantitative and qualitative factors.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
The starting base salary range for this position typically falls between $176,000 and $220,000. Remitly employees are shareholders, and equity is included in our total compensation package.
