SRI International is seeking a highly skilled Policy Research Analyst to join our Center for Innovation Strategy and Policy (CISP) team. As a Policy Research Analyst, you will contribute to science, technology, and innovation policy research, analysis, strategic planning, and evaluations, helping deliver novel solutions for a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute project tasks, including data analysis, literature reviews, and stakeholder interviews, across multiple simultaneous projects under the direction of project leaders or senior staff.
  • Support project leaders to envision, coordinate, and evaluate initiatives and policies related to science, technology, and innovation.
  • Help project leaders develop appropriate methods to solve complex science, technology, and innovation policy problems.
  • Communicate the results of analyses clearly and effectively to team members and clients.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate well in small teams.
  • Apply a variety of analytic methods to a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling and notetaking.
  • Occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, in a STEM field, public policy, or other policy-oriented field in the social sciences.
  • 15 years of work experience related to science, technology, and innovation within one or more of the following domains: science and innovation policy, technology strategy, technology transfer and commercialization, program evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Experience with R/Python programming or econometrics strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Research experience involving both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to different roles, work independently, and exercise critical thinking.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with team members and clients.
