Position Overview

The Strategic National Account Executive will be instrumental in enhancing the company's footprint within prominent national and regional foodservice organizations, convenience stores, and grocery retailers across the Northeast United States. This position entails significant travel and the responsibility of managing a portfolio of existing clients while also cultivating new business opportunities.

With multiple distribution centers nationwide, they are committed to expanding their market presence in the food and beverage industry, as well as offering solutions in healthcare and industrial packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage all available company resources to identify and create new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the dynamics of national account agreements to ensure compliance with pricing structures and rebates, while assessing client satisfaction.
  • Manage national pricing contracts that align with the objectives of national account initiatives.
  • Coordinate the rollout of new national accounts.
  • Support the efforts of our sales consultants in the field, particularly in foodservice.
  • Engage directly with food packaging retailers to promote products and solutions.
  • Provide insights to senior management regarding key trends and indicators in the foodservice sector, particularly concerning polyethylene products.
  • Conduct field sales visits to major foodservice headquarters and significant commissaries.
  • Organize participation in national foodservice trade shows and determine necessary representation.
  • Actively manage special projects related to custom or private label initiatives.
  • Direct all marketing activities related to National Accounts in collaboration with the Marketing Director for creative and implementation support.
  • Continuously inform the organization about the strategic direction and priorities identified within each National Account.
  • Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM tool with relevant opportunities and contacts.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales to regional and national grocery retailers, convenience stores, and foodservice businesses.
  • Experience selling products in these channels is essential; a background in packaging is not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel 40-60% within the Southeast region as needed.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with retailers and brokers to maximize sales and distribution.
  • Proficient in strategic planning for accounts, including promotional calendars, new product launches, trade management, and post-promotion analysis.
  • Experience in sales performance analysis.
  • Participation in industry trade shows to represent the brand and foster sales opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range of $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Quarterly bonuses with a potential threshold of up to 40%.
