Position Summary

The Security Sales Account Executive is responsible for promoting Heartland Security's offerings with integrity and professionalism. This role involves nurturing customer relationships by crafting and selling security systems that align with client needs and expectations, as well as coordinating appointments for both prospective and existing clients.

Geographical Focus

This role will primarily cover the Southeast Minnesota region, specifically south of I-90 and east of I-35. The Account Executive will travel throughout the territory, starting and concluding their day from home. Ideal locations for this position include areas such as Albert Lee, Blue Earth, Austin, or Rochester.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Attractive salary package of up to $70,000 annually, supplemented by a commission structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients face-to-face to discuss their security concerns and design customized systems.
  • Identify potential leads and evaluate opportunities within the marketplace.
  • Participate in home shows to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with existing clients to upgrade or add new equipment, ensuring effective communication to facilitate smooth installations.
  • Assess internet speed for systems reliant on connectivity.
  • Evaluate cellular coverage for security solutions.
  • Conduct Wi-Fi tests for camera installations.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Submit sales proposals to the Executive Sales Manager for approval.
  • Regularly engage with cooperatives to foster relationships and participate in meetings.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless installation processes.
  • Uphold Heartland's standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Manage appointment scheduling through effective communication with clients.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including mileage tracking and expense reporting, promptly.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance are mandatory, along with the ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Skills and Attributes

  • Self-motivated with strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating positive ethical business practices.
  • Ability to navigate basic computer applications and comprehend fundamental mathematical concepts.
  • Understanding of basic construction principles.
