Position Overview

Nuvance Health is a prominent healthcare provider with a network of hospitals and outpatient facilities, offering a range of services including primary and specialty care. We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the Director of Patient Care Services in the advancement, execution, and oversight of our patient care delivery system and nursing practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategically plan, organize, and assess nursing practice standards within the unit.
2. Maintain 24/7 accountability for personnel supervision, ensuring optimal patient care through effective resource management.
3. Provide mentorship and foster a collaborative environment to enhance service quality and employee engagement.
4. Uphold training requirements, ensuring all team members complete necessary training within set timelines.
5. Lead departmental initiatives and support the Director in achieving strategic growth objectives.
6. Manage departmental finances effectively, demonstrating the ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
7. Facilitate communication across departments for efficient operations and collaboration with medical staff.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and identify opportunities for performance improvement and patient safety.
9. Cultivate an environment that promotes service excellence and serves as a role model for staff interactions.
10. Encourage open communication and ensure regular information sharing to foster positive employee relations.
11. Commit to personal and professional development, maintaining current knowledge in the field.
12. Collaborate with the Department of Professional Development to enhance educational programs for staff growth.
13. Participate in shared governance and mentor nursing staff in this model.

Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, including two years in a leadership role. Licensure: A valid RN license is required.

Working Conditions:
Essential skills include significant manual dexterity and the ability to handle some occupational risks. The role may involve light physical effort and exposure to various environmental factors.
