Position Overview

Incentive: $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible External Candidates

Role Summary:
The Manager of Patient Care plays a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Patient Care Services with the development, execution, and oversight of the patient care delivery framework and nursing practice standards. This position collaborates closely with the nursing leadership team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Organize, assess, and enhance nursing practice standards within the unit.
2. Maintain 24/7 accountability for personnel supervision, ensuring optimal patient care through resource management.
3. Mentor and coach staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment to achieve high-quality services and employee engagement.
4. Ensure all team members meet training requirements within established timelines.
5. Lead departmental goal achievement and support strategic growth initiatives.
6. Manage departmental finances effectively, utilizing resources wisely and justifying business decisions with data analysis.
7. Facilitate communication across departments for efficient operations and collaboration with physicians and leaders.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement quality and safety initiatives.
9. Create an environment that promotes service excellence and serves as a role model for staff interactions.
10. Encourage open communication and ensure regular information sharing for effective operations.
11. Commit to personal and professional development, staying current in the field and supporting staff educational growth.
12. Collaborate with the Department of Professional Development to engage nursing leadership in shared governance.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, including two years in a leadership role. Certifications in nursing leadership or related specialties are preferred. Licensure: Valid RN license in the respective states of practice.

Working Conditions:
Essential skills include significant manual dexterity and coordination. The role may involve some occupational risks and requires the ability to exert light physical effort.
