Facilities Operations Team Leader

RAND is seeking a Facilities Operations Team Leader to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in providing operational support in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Under the guidance of the Facilities & Site Operations Manager, the Team Leader will oversee the daily functions of the department and manage support staff. This position requires a hands-on approach, focusing on delivering efficient and cost-effective facilities operations while ensuring exceptional internal customer service across various RAND locations.

As the Facilities Operations Team Leader, your responsibilities will include leading teams and managing small-scale projects both within the department and across different sites. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project completion. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise facilities operations including mail, visitor services, office supplies, and transportation management.
  • Develop and enhance processes, tools, and metrics for effective facility operations.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and other site supervisors to execute construction and renovation projects.
  • Collect and analyze data to support business decisions and maintain operational metrics.
  • Strategically plan staffing needs, conduct interviews, and mentor Facilities staff for professional growth.
  • Prepare and review reports on space utilization and ensure accuracy within the management system.
  • Obtain certification as an Employee Transportation Coordinator and conduct annual surveys.
  • Manage purchase requisitions and liaise with vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Foster partnerships with various departments to support RAND's mission.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Experience with work order management systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

Education Requirements:

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

Minimum: 6 years in a relevant field. Preferred: 10 years.

Security Clearance:

US citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Salary Range: $73,700 - $109,400. RAND offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability coverage, savings plans, and paid time off.
