About the Role

The University of Arkansas seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to provide comprehensive support to faculty, staff, and students. This role is critical to the smooth operation of the unit, and the ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, computer and telephone skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty, staff, and students, including managing office functions and facilitating communication and coordination within the department.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative procedures and systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
