Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy Circuit Clerk I. This role provides critical support to the Circuit Clerk's office, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of court documents and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, the public, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform data entry for multiple courts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in recording and maintaining court records.
  • Assist with the filing of lawsuits, preparing and processing court documents, and maintaining accurate records of court proceedings.
  • Support the selection of jurors, preparing and distributing juror lists, and ensuring accurate records of juror attendance and payment.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, surveyors, and abstractors to provide information and assistance with court-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of court documents, including mortgages, deeds, and other instruments.
  • Prepare and mail out juror payment and information to the Comptroller's office.
  • Proofread and correct computer entries to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including data entry and record-keeping applications.
