Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Director will act as a strategic partner, providing leadership and direction for all HR functions, policies, and programs while serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team. Key responsibilities encompass talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and enhance the employee experience.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the company culture.
  • Develop and execute programs aimed at talent retention, training, and professional development.
  • Lead the HR team to establish an effective organizational structure and staffing strategy.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance to management on employee relations issues, including performance coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct annual assessments of employee engagement and satisfaction, implementing changes to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on HR-related matters, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
  • Regularly analyze workforce metrics to inform staffing decisions and operational effectiveness.
  • Direct the selection and development of HR personnel to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Initiate programs to assess and bridge talent gaps within the organization.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in human resources.
  • Utilize performance-based compensation strategies to motivate and reward staff effectively.
  • Encourage innovative approaches to enhance HR processes and systems.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline HR operations and improve efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the integrity of HR functions.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure performance evaluations align with organizational objectives.
  • Set annual departmental goals and anticipate future challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications:

A minimum of five to seven years of HR management experience in a healthcare or similar setting is required. An HR certification (PHR/SPHR) is highly desirable, although significant experience may be considered in lieu of formal certification.

Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of HR policies and practices, with a proven ability to influence and build relationships across the organization. Strong project management skills and a proactive approach to employee engagement are essential. Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to leverage technology for process improvement.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily office-based, requiring effective communication and interaction with staff and stakeholders.
