Position Overview:
The Human Resources Office at Johns Hopkins University is in search of a Senior Human Resources Coordinator to facilitate recruitment processes and provide essential support to the centralized HR team. This role will report directly to an HR Business Partner (HRBP) within the HR division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment Coordination: This role will focus on managing recruitment activities, including reviewing job postings, submitting requisitions, and maintaining relationships with hiring managers and recruiters.
  • Candidate Management: Responsibilities include prescreening applicants, coordinating interviews, and monitoring recruitment status through the applicant tracking system.
  • Onboarding Process: Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and regular check-ins during the introductory period.
  • Payroll Administration: Initiate payroll actions, process time entries, and assist with tracking FMLA paperwork.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various HR offices to understand policies, troubleshoot issues, and support employee relations initiatives.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience. Additional education may substitute for experience as permitted by the university's equivalency formula. Preferred qualifications include a year of experience in recruitment coordination and familiarity with SAP Software and Service Now.

Skills Required:
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is essential. The ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities is also crucial.

Work Environment:
This position is classified as full-time and may involve a hybrid work schedule. The role is exempt and will require collaboration with various departments within the university.
