Position Overview
The Bloomberg School of Public Health Human Resources Office is in search of a Senior Human Resources Coordinator to deliver recruitment support, coordination, and assistance to the centralized HR Team. This role will report directly to an HR Business Partner (HRBP) within the Bloomberg HR team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition Coordination & Support – 70%
    Review job posting requests and submit requisitions for staff positions with meticulous attention to detail. Establish and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers and recruiters to enhance recruitment efforts. Collaborate with central recruiters to lead strategy meetings, offering insights on processes and best practices. Screen candidate resumes and coordinate interviews as necessary. Monitor recruitment status using the applicant tracking system and manage salary offer calculations in partnership with relevant stakeholders. Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires and lead orientation sessions for all new staff.
  • Payroll Processing & Administration – 30%
    Initiate payroll actions for faculty, staff, and student employees. Process time entries for hourly staff and assist with FMLA paperwork coordination. Resolve payroll-related issues in collaboration with central HR. Generate monthly reports and collaborate with various HR offices to understand policies and troubleshoot issues. Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding processes.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include one year of recruitment or coordination experience and familiarity with SAP Software and Service Now.

Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations, outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to customer service are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is required. The ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain strong interpersonal skills is crucial for success in this role.
