Position Summary:

The Lead Project Coordinator is accountable for overseeing a diverse range of initiatives for corporate and/or strategic business units (SBUs). This role encompasses support throughout the planning and execution phases of projects, which includes setting timelines, allocating resources, and tracking project progress. Regular updates will be prepared for senior management regarding project status.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with business process owners and essential stakeholders to define project objectives, goals, and success metrics.
  2. Develop a comprehensive project charter to facilitate communication and secure stakeholder alignment.
  3. Create and implement project work plans, adjusting as necessary to accommodate evolving requirements.
  4. Identify required resources and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  5. Manage daily operational aspects of projects, including facilitating meetings and maintaining documentation.
  6. Review deliverables prepared by the team prior to distribution to project members.
  7. Utilize Magellan's methodology and uphold project standards through Microsoft Project or other approved tools.
  8. Prepare for project evaluations and quality assurance processes.
  9. Mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring timely communication of any concerns.
  10. Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation.
  11. Keep the project team informed of organizational changes and news that may affect project scope.
  12. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and escalate issues to management as needed.
  13. Prepare reports and dashboards to reflect enterprise project activities.
  14. Deliver well-structured, engaging presentations.
  15. Address and escalate issues promptly.
  16. Communicate sensitive information with tact and professionalism.
  17. Conduct post-project evaluations to enhance future processes.
  18. Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practices and project management guidelines.
  19. Assist in creating business cases and return on investment (ROI) analyses to demonstrate project impact.
  20. Support the creation of resource management and project financial documentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in a medium to large-scale organization.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience may be considered.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Product Suite, particularly Excel, Access, and Visio.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple project plans effectively.
  • Basic financial management knowledge, including budgeting.
  • Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare management.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and monitor project activities.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Compensation:

Potential salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $129,480, depending on experience and skills.
