Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Amentum is currently seeking a Lead Security Access Coordinator to oversee operations in a critical security environment.

The Lead Security Access Coordinator will be responsible for managing a team of access control personnel tasked with safeguarding sensitive facilities. This role requires a Secret cleared individual with a solid background in access management for locations that handle U.S. Government information.

Work Schedule: The position involves a rotating shift schedule. Candidates must exhibit flexibility and may be required to adjust their shifts based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and vehicles seeking entry to ensure compliance with security protocols and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Assist in the assignment and monitoring of daily activities for the access control team.
  • Document incidents reported by team members for review and escalation as necessary.
  • Support the implementation of safety plans relevant to access control operations.
  • Perform typical duties of Access Control personnel while managing and coordinating multiple activities within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with senior program leadership to address concerns and propose solutions.
  • Supervise and evaluate team performance, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse personalities and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge of construction safety protocols.
  • Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Work independently with a keen attention to detail.
  • Show initiative in pursuing ongoing education in industry standards and practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to entry-level personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in construction surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, or security operations.
  • Leadership experience in an operational setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must meet the physical demands of this role, which include:

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive while standing or walking for 8-12 hours.
  • Capability to navigate uneven surfaces and active construction sites safely.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills in a construction environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capacity to work independently in a detail-oriented setting.
