About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Blood Collection Staff to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Blood Collection Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to transport and set up equipment at donation sites in local communities.
  • Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors.
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations.
  • Utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
  • A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
