Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Labcorp. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and prepare blood samples for laboratory testing
- Enter patient information into our database accurately and efficiently
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Provide superior customer service to patients and their families
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Travel to additional sites as required
Requirements:
- Valid Washington state Phlebotomy License or application filed with the Washington Department of Health
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable)
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
