Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and handling blood specimens, ensuring the safety of volunteers, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and handle blood specimens from patients, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
- Prepare lab tubes and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and up-to-date.
- Provide written monthly updates on laboratory operations, freezer storage, and phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) program and passing a national PBT certification exam.
- IATA Certification.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in phlebotomy or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
