Job Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to become a part of our esteemed Civil Engineering Group. This role will be based in our Lakewood, Colorado office and involves collaboration with various project managers across a diverse array of projects.

The selected candidate will have the chance to engage in a variety of assignments, including but not limited to municipal projects, utility services, healthcare facilities, affordable housing, educational institutions, and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize design and graphics software, particularly AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate efforts with other engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct design calculations for various project components.
  • Interpret and apply building codes and jurisdictional standards under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Perform research and reference checks.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and documentation.
  • Draft and compile technical reports.
  • Measure and verify dimensions accurately.
  • Conduct field observations and review shop drawings during the construction phase.
  • Be available for overtime work as needed.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D.
  • Successful completion of the FE Examination.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

  • Internship experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, and AutoTurn.
  • Understanding of building and material design codes.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently for extended periods.
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in construction environments.
  • Ability to manage small-scale projects through the design phase.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.
