Job Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled Civil Project Engineer to enhance our Civil Engineering Group. This position presents an exciting chance to engage in a variety of site development initiatives, spanning healthcare, multifamily housing, commercial, industrial, and educational projects.

Under the mentorship of a Senior Engineer, you will oversee and design projects from initial concept to final construction. This role will allow you to collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing you with invaluable experience and exposure early in your career. You will also have the chance to engage in marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Oversight:

  • Employ AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate small to medium-sized projects while adhering to budgetary and time constraints. Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.

Client and Team Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and other design disciplines. Participate in project meetings throughout the design and construction phases.

Quality Assurance and Administrative Duties:

  • Conduct quality control checks on work produced, ensuring precision and compliance with standards. Assist in project construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), and conducting field observations.

Financial Oversight:

  • Track project budgets and review/approve client invoices. Be prepared to work additional hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registered PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in SITE DEVELOPMENT, LAND DEVELOPMENT, or INFRASTRUCTURE.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with a PE license.
  • Familiarity with or proficiency in Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.
  • A strong interest in participating in company initiatives.
  • Experience in construction fieldwork.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
