Job Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lakewood, Colorado. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage in prestigious projects across various innovative sectors such as aerospace, data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, and heavy industry. The ideal candidate will oversee projects with budgets ranging from $15,000 to over $1 million, ensuring that their technical expertise and leadership contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering and technical teams to successfully deliver projects.
  • Coordinate the structural design process both internally and with external consultants.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage project timelines, work plans, and financial budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Create and enforce project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth and development.
  • Represent Martin/Martin, Inc. in project meetings during all phases of design and construction.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience (with relevant advanced degrees or certifications counting towards this requirement).
  • Proven leadership skills that align with the company's vision.
  • Experience in managing projects within advanced industries (e.g., Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Data Center, Manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to adhere to project schedules and budgets.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across various disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of architectural, MEP, and civil systems and their implications on structural design.
  • Possession of a PE license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Extensive experience in designing and overseeing advanced industry projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Advanced project management capabilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects and budgets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Capability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience engaging with clients regarding project challenges and feasibility.
