Position Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is in search of a Senior Project Engineer to enhance our Civil Engineering Group. This role is pivotal in managing and executing water and wastewater initiatives, with a focus on projects across various regions including the Southwest and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of tasks including:

  • Contributing to master planning and initial design phases.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and fee assessments.
  • Overseeing design budgets and timelines.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Managing multiple engineering projects from design inception to construction completion.
  • Providing mentorship to junior engineers and CAD professionals.
  • Participating in project meetings throughout the design and construction stages.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks on deliverables.
  • Supporting project administration, including review of shop drawings and addressing Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Monitoring project finances and approving client invoicing.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years focused on water and wastewater treatment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering is preferred.
  • Possession of a PE license in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within three months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment.
  • 10 years of experience holding a PE license.
  • Familiarity with software such as Civil3D, FlowMaster, and BioWin.
  • Experience in construction and operational environments.
  • Demonstrated interest in contributing to company initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
