Position Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Lakewood, Colorado office. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in nationally recognized projects across innovative sectors such as aerospace, data centers, semi-conductors, heavy industrial, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects with budgets ranging from $15k to $1M+, ensuring both impactful work and professional growth in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering and technician teams to successfully complete projects.
  • Coordinate structural design efforts internally and with external consultants.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, timelines, and financial budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Create and implement project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced staff, aiding in their professional development.
  • Represent Martin/Martin, Inc. in project meetings during both design and construction stages.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience (with MSCE/MSAE counting as 1 year, and passing the 16-hour SE exam also counting as 1 year).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities that align with the company's future goals.
  • Experience managing projects in advanced industries (Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor, Data Center, Manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to work within established schedules and budgets.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across various disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of Architectural, MEP, and Civil systems and their implications on structural work.
  • Possession of a PE license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Experience designing and managing advanced industries projects from inception to completion.
  • Exceptional internal and external communication skills.
  • Advanced project management expertise.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale projects and budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience engaging with owners regarding project delays and feasibility issues.
