Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing survey tasks that necessitate sound judgment and proficiency in established surveying methods and protocols.

You will represent Martin/Martin in project discussions and refine your communication abilities to effectively manage the flow of survey data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform survey tasks with minimal oversight, utilizing your understanding of surveying principles and techniques in land and construction surveying.
  • Enhance project management skills and represent Martin/Martin in project discussions.
  • Advocate for survey work and assist in the preparation of survey proposals.
  • Draft and review legal descriptions, ensuring precision and compliance.
  • Process and interpret fieldwork data.
  • Coordinate between office operations and field activities.
  • Investigate public records and interpret legal descriptions.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of documentary and physical evidence.
  • Direct calculations for control surveys, subdivision sections, boundary evaluations, and construction staking.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.
  • Analyze and reduce GPS Control surveys.
  • Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits, and plats.
  • Sign and validate legal descriptions that you have prepared or reviewed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License with an acceptable violation record.
  • At least eight years of surveying experience.
  • Professional Land Surveyor license (P.L.S.).
  • Ability to engage with clients professionally.
  • Capability to perform advanced survey calculations.
  • Field experience as a crew chief.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a managerial role within a surveying group.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in surveying technology or civil engineering.
  • Experience in both fieldwork and office settings.
