Position Overview:

The Senior Proposal Strategist will oversee and guide proposal teams in crafting compliant, persuasive, and impactful proposals by aligning capture strategies with the operational execution of government evaluation frameworks and RFP structural guidelines. This role involves steering proposal development teams, including volume leads, solutions architects, content creators, section authors, coordinators, and color teams to apply the firm's established proposal methodology and the processes necessary to translate capture and win strategies into proposals that fulfill RFP scoring criteria and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and refinement of major proposals by collaborating with internal capability teams to define technical methodologies and solutions for inclusion in various proposal sections.
  • Present proposal progress, challenges, and evaluations to senior management while integrating and addressing feedback.
  • Utilize extensive expertise to contribute to the formulation of proposal strategies and content, achieving objectives in innovative and effective manners, including resolving complex and unique challenges where the analysis of situations or data necessitates an assessment of intangible factors.
  • Establish formal networks that involve coordination among diverse groups.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing comprehensive federal proposal responses, including staffing models, management, past performance, and resumes for various systems engineering and professional services opportunities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in federal proposal management, leading large teams through the complete lifecycle of complex, strategic proposals consisting of multiple volumes, including sample task orders and intricate cost requirements, such as Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing proposal teams through the design, delivery, and execution of complex proposals.
  • Experience in coordinating diverse teams across multiple organizational levels from prime contractors, subcontractors, and consulting firms.
  • Ability to work closely with business area operations, business development leads, and pricing leads to ensure alignment of technical, management, and cost strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with business development processes, including phases and gates, and industry proposal practices, including Shipley Best Practices.
  • Capability to produce schedules, templates, and proposal documentation using Microsoft Office.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with proposal compliance audits.
  • Experience in delivering project solutions to federal clients.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate proposal resources, including personnel, budget, and schedule, while regularly communicating status to the firm's leadership.
  • Ability to serve as a team leader, coordinating multiple major proposal efforts simultaneously and providing guidance for junior staff, including supervising their activities.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Clearance Requirements:

Compensation:

Compensation at our firm is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 annually. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of our total compensation package.
