Job Overview

Position Summary:

Hive Group LLC is in search of a Senior Proposal Manager to enhance our expanding team within the government contracting sector. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of effectively managing federal proposals, ranging from task order responses to comprehensive strategic bids aimed at addressing the complex missions in the government landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple proposals concurrently.
  • Collaborate with leadership to formulate proposal strategies and craft persuasive messaging that aligns with win strategies, technical solutions, and compliance requirements.
  • Refine and enhance processes from Request for Information (RFI) through Request for Proposal (RFP) submission.
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather pertinent information for specific proposal tasks.
  • Work alongside the proposal team to draft, edit, and proofread proposal sections and prepare necessary components (e.g., tables, acronym lists, appendices).
  • Facilitate the proposal process to adhere to milestones in accordance with corporate protocols (e.g., color reviews) and provide writing and editing support (both technical and formatting).
  • Establish timelines, develop outlines, create compliance matrices, lead proposal kick-off meetings, guide content creators, and manage graphic elements.
  • Analyze technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations (e.g., RFPs, RTEPs, RFIs), recommend response strategies, and ensure compliance with RFP instructions.
  • Conduct final proofreading, editing, and formatting to guarantee high-quality content and presentation of final proposals.
  • Lead post-proposal review meetings and implement strategies for process improvement.
  • Prepare and manage the production and packaging of proposal submissions.
  • Continuously update and enhance the Proposal Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Administer the Google-based proposal management system, ensuring it remains current with exemplary proposal responses (e.g., management and transition plans).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in writing professional services proposals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment, with a willingness to work extended hours to meet evolving needs and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Federal procurement processes, standard solicitation instructions, and proposal development methodologies.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (including templates, styles, macros) and desktop publishing.
