POSITION OVERVIEW

This document outlines the responsibilities, required qualifications, and expectations for the role. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and collaborate closely with the Sales team and clients. This position is integral in addressing technical inquiries and working alongside engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary technical resource for the Sales team and clients.
  • Engage directly with clients to address application support inquiries, performance specifications, and product development requests.
  • Enhance the technical presence of the Sales team within significant client accounts.
  • Analyze customer technology trends and communicate findings effectively.
  • Conduct teardown analyses of competitor products and summarize findings.
  • Facilitate technology and product demonstrations as required by the Sales team.
  • Utilize and maintain electrical equipment proficiently.
  • Establish relationships with manufacturers of cables and harnesses.
  • Support promotional activities such as exhibitions and sales material development.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication across all departments and with clients.
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills for both internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain a proactive and creative approach to customer requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to organize and drive initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong work ethic.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments, particularly with Japanese companies, is a plus.
  • Willingness to collaborate with international teams as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a strong engineering aptitude and the ability to convey technical solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for client engagements, including potential international travel.
  • Must have authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
