POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary function of this role is to address technical inquiries and deliver product demonstrations while working in conjunction with engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the main technical resource for the Sales team and clients.
  • Engage directly with clients to address application support inquiries, performance specifications, and product development requests.
  • Enhance the technical presence of the Sales team within significant client accounts.
  • Analyze customer technology trends and summarize findings for internal distribution.
  • Conduct teardown analyses and performance evaluations of customer applications and competitor products, generating comprehensive reports.
  • Assist in technology and product demonstrations as requested by the Sales team.
  • Maintain and utilize electrical equipment effectively.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with cable and harness manufacturers.
  • Support promotional activities, including exhibitions and sales material development.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION

  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all departments and with clients.
  • Exhibit strong presentation abilities for both internal discussions and client meetings.
  • Maintain a proactive and creative approach, responding promptly to client requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to organize and drive initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Possess a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong work ethic.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments, particularly with Japanese companies, is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with the Hirose Japan Sales and Engineering teams as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Strong engineering aptitude with the capability to convey technical solutions effectively, along with a comprehensive understanding of Hirose product lines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to various client R&D locations, including potential international travel.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship is required.
