Job Overview

Position Summary: Oversees the operations of the Food & Beverage division, working under the guidance of the department manager, while adhering to established company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities: This overview does not encompass all tasks associated with this role, which are essential to the execution of primary job functions. Employees are expected to adhere to any additional job-related directives and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor. This document does not establish an employment contract, implied or otherwise, beyond an 'at-will' employment relationship.

  1. Delivers exceptional guest service to both internal and external clients, embodying the #AddLife culture in all interactions.
  2. Facilitates guest service training and departmental orientation for new hires.
  3. Collaborates with the manager to provide ongoing training for all staff members.
  4. Ensures the dining area is properly arranged and prepared for service.
  5. Supervises side work responsibilities and opening and closing procedures.
  6. Coordinates with fellow F & B Supervisors and Managers regarding work schedules, food ordering, and inventory levels.
  7. Assists in the setup and breakdown of private events.
  8. Fosters a supportive and motivating environment for Team Members.
  9. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information in line with company policies and regulations.
  10. Assists the manager in evaluating activities across all reporting areas to enhance staffing levels, working conditions, and overall guest service quality.
  11. Monitors the performance of subordinate employees to ensure adherence to management standards.
  12. Addresses issues within the scope of authority and recommends solutions for matters beyond this scope to the supervisor.
  13. Oversees daily departmental activities in accordance with established company policies.
  14. Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant departmental activities.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the aforementioned duties, each Team Member is responsible for compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Participates in mandatory training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Obtains and maintains necessary licenses.
  • Performs duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Takes appropriate measures to ensure minors are not permitted in gambling areas, consuming alcoholic beverages, or purchasing tobacco.
  • Possesses knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the Team Member's department.
  • Understands the Property's programs aimed at addressing problem gaming.
  • Reports any known acts of misconduct.

Position Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Must possess the ability to articulate and communicate ideas effectively and make independent decisions.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License, Serv-Safe certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees subordinates who may supervise other employees.
