Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bar operations to enhance profitability, reduce legal risks, and comply with beverage regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures, providing training to team members on all requirements.
  • Regularly assess operations for potential efficiencies and recommend policy adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations to maintain compliance in beverage service.
  • Lead the development of security measures and training practices to enhance safety and operational integrity.
  • Manage staffing levels to align with budgetary constraints, ensuring all team members are well-trained and present for shifts.
  • Foster a vibrant workplace culture that promotes engagement and enthusiasm among team members.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage offerings, including liquor, beer, and wine, as well as preparation methods and presentation standards.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, beverage costs, and profit margins, preparing action plans to address any variances.
  • Address customer satisfaction proactively, resolving complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct investigations in collaboration with Human Resources to document incidents and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support departmental efficiency.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Participate in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in all duties performed.
  • Be knowledgeable about ordinances and policies relevant to the department.
  • Report any observed misconduct or violations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in restaurant management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume beverage service environment.
  • Progressive experience in leading and coaching teams to exceed performance standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of beverage products and mixology is essential.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet physical demands of the role.
