Job Description:

The HR Coordinator will support the Director of Human Resources, assisting with recruiting, payroll, benefit enrollment, leave administration, and policy/procedure rollout, as well as other HR duties as needed.

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all payroll reporting and functions and will assist in administering Modern's suite of health and welfare plans. In addition, the HR Coordinator will partner with our Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist to support staffing and retention efforts across the organization. As an ambassador of Modern's culture and values, the HR Coordinator will help maintain positive employee relations and work to ensure team member satisfaction through education of HR policies and by fostering a positive team environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform all weekly payroll functions, including reporting and distribution of payroll data to Anticimex, Inc.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures; assist with maintaining current Human Resources SOP's and updating job descriptions.
  • Participate in Wellness and Health program development by recommending strategies to motivate employees, implement programs and follow through on tracking.
  • Participate in Benefit Administration programs - annual open enrollment, newly eligible employees, answering questions and/or helping with escalated claims.
  • Participate in the performance management process, track sign on/referral bonus awards needed for payroll as well as the annual distribution.
  • Lead or assist with Employee Engagement Committee goals and initiatives.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager in following up on quarterly and/or annual surveys.
  • Support with Workers Compensation and Leave administration.
  • Produce reports on general Human Resources/Team Member activity as requested.
  • Participate in Human Resources and Payroll year end activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Human Resources experience preferred, but not required
Required Skills
  • Multi-site and/or multi-state hiring experience is preferred.
  • High capacity for managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously, influencing and gaining credibility with all levels of employees, management, and internal clients.
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to HR functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess computer literacy with capability to use Microsoft Office, Workday, and related Human Resources software programs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
