KMA Human Resources Consulting is excited to announce an opportunity for a Human Resources Consultant to join our dedicated team of HR professionals in the Southern Maine area.

This role provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a vibrant and expanding organization that partners with a diverse range of esteemed clients throughout New England. With over 15 years of experience in empowering organizations to meet their strategic goals, we assist businesses in areas such as recruitment, talent development, compensation strategies, and employee retention.

The Human Resources Consultant will deliver exceptional advisory and administrative support to clients on various HR matters, ensuring compliance with best practices, regulations, and organizational policies.

This is a part-time position without benefits, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time hours based on client needs. Candidates must reside in the Southern Maine area and be available for on-site work.

Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Consultant:

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on HR and employment-related issues.
  • Deliver ongoing operational and administrative support for daily HR functions, including staffing, compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, leave management, employee relations, and investigations.
  • Implement HR initiatives such as assessments, policy development, employee surveys, and performance management programs tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate HR training sessions.

Qualifications for the Human Resources Consultant:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, organizational development, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong integrity and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
