KMA Human Resources Consulting is excited to announce an opportunity for a Human Resources Consultant to contribute to our team of HR professionals in the Southern Maine area.

This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with a vibrant and expanding team that supports a diverse range of esteemed clients throughout New England. With over 15 years of experience in empowering organizations to meet their business goals by serving as their HR partner, we assist companies in attracting, hiring, training, compensating, and retaining their talent.

The Human Resources Consultant will deliver exceptional advisory and administrative services to clients on various HR issues, processes, and policies, adhering to best practices, regulations, and guidelines.

This position is part-time without benefits, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time hours based on client needs. Candidates must reside in the Southern Maine area and be available to work on-site at client locations.

Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Consultant:

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on HR and employment matters.
  • Deliver ongoing operational and administrative support for daily HR functions related to staffing, compliance, onboarding, benefits, compensation, leaves, workers' compensation, employee relations, and investigations.
  • Implement HR initiatives such as HR assessments, policy development, employee surveys, and performance management programs tailored to each client.
  • Facilitate HR-related training sessions.

Qualifications for the Human Resources Consultant:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, organizational development, or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a human resources generalist at an intermediate level.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both collaboratively and independently across various projects.
  • Exhibit integrity and strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
