About the VP, Partner Success role:

Pursuit is actively seeking an experienced and strategic leader to build and lead our Partnerships Team as the VP, Partner Success. Pursuit's partnership strategy is multi-dimensional, and highly network and relationship driven, with our key strategic accounts spanning hiring partnership sales, philanthropy, impact investments, volunteer networks, and external affairs. Each account is leveraged to achieve multiple business goals and the VP, Partner Success will lead the development and execution of strategies focused on cross-sells, upsells and renewals based on deep relationships across executive stakeholders. Reporting directly to Pursuit's CEO, this role role will manage relationships and account strategies for our industry-leading partners across sectors, including startups, fortune500, and philanthropic organizations as Blackstone, Deutsche Bank, Robin Hood Foundation, Blackrock, Macquarie Group, Citi, Union Square Ventures, A16Z, Uber, Peloton and more.

As the VP, Partner Success you will be responsible to:

  • Define and implement comprehensive strategies for key strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with Pursuit's mission, goals, and revenue targets.
  • Take ownership of renewals, upsells and cross-sells for key strategic accounts, driving sustained growth and maximizing the value of partnerships.
  • Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, establishing Pursuit as a trusted and valuable partner.
  • Collaborate closely with internal leadership and counterpart executives at partner organizations to understand business priorities and develop plans to deepen relationships across all Pursuit revenue streams.
  • Lead the team to develop network mapping efforts to build buy in and coalition efforts for key accounts
  • Lead and build the Partner Success function from the ground up, assembling and managing a high-performing team.
  • Work closely with internal leadership teams, including the CEO, VP of Employer Partnerships, GM of Enterprise, MD of Impact Investment, and VP of Development, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment of strategies.

What you need to be considered for the VP, Partnership Success role:

  • A minimum of 15 years of proven success in partnership roles, including a minimum of 8 years leading strategic account management, partnership development, customer success, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated track record in building deep and strategic partnerships across sectors such as enterprise, startup, philanthropic, and VC/PE, driving revenue growth and advancing key business priorities through stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities, translating organizational goals into actionable plans for strategic account success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, capable of connecting with senior executives across diverse industries to drive revenue and other business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to forge strategic alliances , fostering buy-in from executives and delivering value across various departments to align with overarching company objectives, facilitating cross-selling opportunities.
  • Experience and alignment with network mapping and navigation to drive coalition building and alliances.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets, driving positive outcomes and sustained growth.

Compensation

The OTE (on-target-earnings)for this role will range from $250k-$300k annually.

The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
