SUMMARY
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for actively engaging prospects in the company's defined sales process. The RAM is expected to have excellent selling, closing, and qualification skills. The RAM will maintain a geographic territory as defined by the company management and will participate with other departments to maintain a sales relationship with all prospects and customers. Active participation in an implementation and hand-off program will help transition all new accounts from prospects to customers. Lead Generation is required and will be conducted within the appropriate territory. This includes but is not limited to: cold calling, marketing campaigns, attending trade shows, and following up on trade show and industry association leads. RAMs must be able to accurately forecast using the defined staging of opportunities within the chosen CRM system. The RAM will also be responsible for working with partner sales channels in their territory to enable and support the partner in the selling of MasterControl solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively sell to all assigned MC prospects and customers.
- Ability to provide all product demonstrations and be highly proficient in domain and product knowledge.
- Lead Generation including: Cold Calling, MC Campaigns, Trade Show Leads, MC Associate Leads, Industry Association Leads, and others.
- Follow up on Pre-qualified Leads provided by MC Marketing.
- Participate in Trade Shows as requested.
- Enable and support partners within the territory in the selling of MC solutions.
- Follow company travel and expense policies.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- University degree or equivalent experience required.
- Strong leadership and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of successful multi-level, complex software sales.
- Extensive prospecting and accurate forecasting experience.
- Customer service experience and training.
- Experience selling software to the life sciences industry preferred.
- Experience working in a life sciences company 5-10 years of enterprise software sales experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of life sciences and manufacturing regulations preferred.
- Strong understanding of MS Office locations.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing and life sciences industry specific requirements such as ISO and FDA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work well with people.
- Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail.
- Bending, stooping and lifting are integral aspects of this position.
- Ability to work non-standard hours.
- Ability to quickly learn technical skills.
- Extensive travel required (40%).
Must be located in the Mumbai, India area.
