Maintain liaison with navigation interests on all problems affecting the present use of Portland District navigation projects, investigating navigation problems, channel alignment improvements, and making reports and recommendations as required

Work through project manager subordinates to complete plans and specifications for contract and furnish information, estimates, and assistance as required in connection with construction over site of contracts with contracted dredges.

Conduct personnel administration through subordinate supervisors
Oversee all administrative and support functions
Assign work and participate in selection committees for placement and promotion of employees to subordinate supervisory positions.
