Position Overview

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) plays a crucial role in guiding engineering teams towards achieving their objectives.

This position involves collaborating across various PSET domains to devise technical solutions and overseeing the delivery of complex programs and initiatives from the planning stage through to execution. Key responsibilities include delivery forecasting, risk management, dependency oversight, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Technical Programs for Data Analytics, the TPM will engage with teams to foster alignment, enhance engagement, and ensure the successful execution of programs. This role is pivotal in establishing a robust foundation that enables PSET to expedite the delivery of Autodesk platform capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead alignment efforts among Autodesk's divisional leadership, coordinating across diverse teams, divisions, and partners.
  • Exhibit sound judgment, anticipate potential bottlenecks, manage escalations, navigate trade-offs, and prioritize needs against technical constraints.
  • Encourage collaboration across organizational programs through OKR planning, dependency management, and prompt resolution of impediments.
  • Shape strategy and requirements while serving as the primary point of contact for intricate programs.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to formulate delivery plans.
  • Partner with teams to provide technical solutions from the design phase through to delivery.
  • Enhance the automation of delivery processes, ensuring transparency and maintaining a single source of truth across design and operations.
  • Drive risk management processes, including identification, analysis, and mitigation, to proactively address potential issues.
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence through data-driven strategies and a Kaizen approach.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in roles such as Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Software Architect, or similar, leading software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, software componentization, customization, Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, etc.), and RESTful web services.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with negotiation and influence.
  • Proactive in stakeholder management and excels in relationship building.
  • Utilizes data analytics to enhance software operations and organizational efficiency.
  • Imparts a sense of urgency and influences leaders and peers.
