In this role, you will support sites and businesses with their procurement needs and will act as a first point of contact for the sites while coordinating within Procurement. Also, delivering cost savings results from the Freeport Negotiator project will be a major focus. You will develop strategic priorities and explore creative and strategic supply solutions for new and existing technical materials and services. You will also support the North American region in the development of category strategies, providing regional input related to supply and demand market dynamics.   • Leading and managing the sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, RFP, etc.) for key contracts and complex negotiations toensure the most competitive supply advantage for BASF, as well as supporting the purchase order creation and processing as appropriate.
  • Providing relationship management for key suppliers, which will include monitoring performance metrics, resolvingclaims and/or disputes, market intelligence, and other contributing factors affecting supply availability and pricing ofproducts procured.
  • Conducting market intelligence research by interacting with key suppliers, industry associations, and internalstakeholders to collect industry relevant information and rationalizing to assess impact current and future to BASF.
  • Supporting the development of supply strategies for the North American region, you will work closely with the sites andthe Procurement Category Management to develop and implement sourcing strategies for products related to thisportfolio.
  • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will work with all areas of BASF (Operations, Engineering, Accounting, EHS, Tax, etc.) and all levels of BASF, both global and regional.

  • Have 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering/Operations and/or Sales and Marketing
  • Possess experience with contract negotiations
  • Are proficient in market knowledge
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a multi-task environment and being team-oriented
  • Are willing to travel up to 20% of the time (mostly within Texas)
  • Currently possess or are able to obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
