Job Title: Sr. Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Buyer to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a Sr. Buyer, you will be responsible for managing Production Operations contracts and corresponding Procurement Strategies for domestic oil and gas assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing new contracts, term extensions, commercial amendments, and terminating non-utilized contracts
  • Writing Purchase Orders, Service Orders, and Blanket Orders to document transaction details and ensure contingencies are addressed
  • Preparing, submitting, and negotiating contract terms and conditions with Legal's support
  • Collaborating with business and functional leadership to establish and execute Field Production Operations sourcing and value creation strategies
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders on strategy, policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes related to Field Production Operations
  • Driving corporate compliance to the preferred vendor program through end-user change management and communications programs
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on contractual and financial aspects of service contracts
  • Managing the full life cycle of Production Operations by advising on the best fit vendor, executing work order documents, evaluating vendor performance
  • Acting as a central point of contact between business unit proponents, vendor representatives, and other key stakeholders
  • Pre-qualifying new and re-qualifying existing Suppliers while ensuring full compliance with the HES Contractor Safety Program
  • Working in multiple ERP Systems modules, including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Supplier Registration, Sourcing Strategy, Contract Development and implementation, Supplier Performance, and Contract Close out
  • Primary interface with Internal Audit, Finance - A/P, HES, and Risk Management
  • Monitoring assigned contracts to ensure suppliers comply with terms and conditions
