About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join our team at Baker Hughes Holdings LLC. As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing mechanical inspections of gas turbines and major auxiliaries
  • Handling pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil systems, starting systems, fuel gas systems, and air systems
  • Assisting buyers with regular reviews of maintenance activities
  • Discussing mechanical-related NICs/TILs with buyers and planning implementation of recommendations
  • Responding to technical inquiries from buyers using GE technical support services
  • Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for covered units
  • Supporting buyers' operation and maintenance staff with diagnostics, counseling, and addressing maintenance/operational issues on covered units
  • Providing on-the-job training to buyers' operation and maintenance staff
  • Preparing detailed work scopes for agreed outages and indicating recommended FSEs and manpower crews
  • Performing equipment start-up, diagnostic, and troubleshooting
  • Performing water wash procedures, lube oil, and cooling water systems flushes as per recommended procedures
Requirements
  • Mechanic Engineer degree
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience
  • Able to perform major inspections of all HDGT & ADGT machines
  • Able to perform laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines
